Asian Root Vegetables

Macrobiotic cooking uses them for their grounding and strengthening. Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine uses them to open clogged channels, detoxify, and calm the spirit. We love their taste and crunchy texture. The big boost of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber they deliver is a nice plus, as well as their prebiotic properties.

Avocado

The good fats in Avos are good for you, especially your skin. They also contain vitamin E, K, C and the Bs, plus potassium, magnesium, copper, iron, phosphorus, fiber, protein, and several phytonutrients and long chain polysaccharides. We love their creaminess and flavor.

Berries

Satisfyingly sweet, low glycemic, low in calories, and high in fiber. Full of antioxidants vitamins and minerals, berries help support brain function and protect the body against inflammation and free radicals. Natures candy, so delicious!

Ghee

Butter — but with the milk solids (including lactose and casein) removed — is used in Ayurvedic medicine to remove toxins from cells and as WD-40 for the entire body. If you have dairy issues, ghee is a great alternative to butter, all the rich flavor without the drawbacks of hydrogenated margarines.

Goji Berry

Sometimes called the longevity berry, this delicious dried fruit packs 20 vitamins and minerals and 18 amino acids.
